6
REASONS MOST
ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS THE CONFERENCE
|
- If you already installed the free software
and still can't gain access to the conference rooms. You may have waited
too long to enter. Ministry policy is that, anyone that registers without
entering in within 30 days will be deleted. They will have to re-register.
Those that have entered in, but stopped coming for 30 days will also
have to re-register.
- If you already installed the free software
and still can't gain access to the conference rooms. You may be using
an incompatible browser. (Like Firefox or Opera) Try this the first
time you enter, USE MICROSOFT
INTERNET EXPLORER (MSIE), or any other web browser that uses the
MSIE DLL engine. Older versions of browsers like FireFox and Opera may not allow access on
some computers for some strange reason.
- If you have already installed the free software,
and are using MSIE but still can't enter the POGM conference room. It
may be because you are using a MAC computer. This software does not
support MAC. However, if you have a Windows emulator installed on a
MAC you can gain access. There is also a work around on more recent
MAC OS'. (see below)
-
You are using Vista
and you're getting "error #2." Turn off your firewall, or
give "Ivocalize.exe" inbound and outbound permissions in your
firewal configuration. The POGM chat requires inbound traffic so you
can see text chat from others as well as hear them. And it needs outgoing
traffic ability for others to see yoru text or hear your voice.
- If you have already installed the free software,
and are using MSIE and you are not using a MAC computer, it may be that
your IP address has been BANNED for unChristian activity in the conference.
If this is the case, please contact
us to rectify the matter.
It all has to do with the browser. On some systems only MSIE browsers
will work. Firef9ox, Chrome, and other browsers may fail when trying
to enter. So, if you have a Windows PC, try using the browser that comes
with your system first.
There are a few reasons
why you will get error #2
- your firewal is blocking the software (IvocalizeClient.exe)
- your anti-virus software (like Norton) has
a personal firewall blockign the software (IvocalizeClient.exe)
- you have an audio program running. (like
Windows media player)
-
this may seem crazy but... try plugging
in a microphone. Your sound card will create a "hard" connection
and you're in! Even if you plug headphones into the mic slot it
seems to work! Wierd huh!?
